Shane Grady

Being this son of an outdoorsman and basketball coach provides a unique learning experience for a young boy. From hanging out in the gym, to fishing with dad, Shane either could be found with a basketball or fishing rod in his hands most of the time. Growing up in our beautiful Branson lakes area gave Shane the same understanding for his Ozark’s heritage that generations of Grady’s have come to love and appreciate. At the age of 12, Shane became the Branson lakes area’s youngest fishing guide providing visitors to the family’s Lake Taneycomo resort expert advice on catching Rainbow trout from the pristine waters. At the age of 14, Shane purchased the 1st fiberglass bass boat in the Branson lakes area giving his clients a new level of fishing luxury. Working with a steady stream of guests at the Taneycomo family resort gave Shane an opportunity to meet folks from all over the U.S. This instilled a love for people that he has continued to enjoy throughout his working career. He obtained a B.S. in marketing at Missouri State University working on weekends and summers as a fishing guide on Table Rock, Bull Shoals and Taneycomo Lakes and as a professional photographer shooting for major outdoor publications. REX GRADY – Founder

Rex grew up helping supplement the family food supply with fresh fish and wild game that was amply supplied from the Ozark’s rivers and hills. Spending so much time in our beautiful outdoors, indelibly stamped a lifelong love for the hills and lakes. Rex with trophies After graduating from college, Rex became a basketball coach in his native town of Forsyth. His intensity led him to several area high school coaching positions continually guiding each program to record setting seasons. During the off seasons Rex operated Rex Guiding an old fashioned float service on Lake Taneycomo thrilling the patrons with his unique knowledge of our area. At the same time, he received a masters in education from the University of Missouri. Bearcat team A successful high school coaching career netted the head basketball coach position at Southwest Baptist University where he led the bearcats to their first appearance in a national tournament. While at the university, Rex continually felt the pull to return to his beautiful Ozarks. When a resort on Lake Taneycomo became a Fishing Facts available to purchase, the family came back to the lakes he so loved. As a resort owner he entertained thousands of visitors with his native knowledge of our area.
